Deli Meat Crescent Squares – Easy Sandwich Idea

Author Catherine’s Plates

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) tubes crescent rolls
  • 24 thin slices assorted deli meats — ham, turkey, chicken, or roast beef
  • 2 cups shredded or sliced cheese (any variety)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 TBS Italian seasoning
  • 3 TBS shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 jar roasted red bell peppers, drained and sliced
  • Optional: your favorite condiments, additional cooked meats or cheeses

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Unroll one tube of crescent rolls and press the dough flat to cover the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Layer the deli meats evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the cheese over the meats, then distribute the sliced roasted red peppers on top.
  • Unroll the second tube of crescent rolls and lay it over the fillings, pressing the edges to seal and enclose the fillings.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, Italian seasoning, and shredded Parmesan. Pour the mixture evenly over the top layer, allowing it to seep into the seams.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until the top is golden and set. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
