Beyond Sugar: My Obsession with Seasonal Scents and Holiday Fragrances

I have always been someone who lives by the seasons. Many of my fondest kitchen and food memories center on seasonal rituals: weekly summer trips to roadside farmers’ stands with my mom, and rolling countless pumpkin rolls each fall with my Nana. Those experiences are anchored by more than taste — they’re tied to scent as well.

Whenever the seasons shift, I overhaul the fragrances in my home. Candles, plug-in air fresheners, hand soaps, and even my personal perfume all change with the calendar. For me, September is the official start of fall. I pull cardigans from the back of the closet and tuck flip-flops away until spring.

One of the best fall fragrances I’ve discovered is the Salty Caramel candle from Slatkin for Bath & Body Works. This creamy, buttery scent fills a room with a warm, enveloping aroma that feels almost edible. The candle is richly fragranced, so a little goes a long way and the scent carries through the house.

On one evening when the candle was burning, my husband walked in and asked what was baking. When he found a spotless kitchen and me watching an episode of Cupcake Wars, he realized that Salted Caramel Cupcakes weren’t on the menu — just a living room scented like warm caramel.

Do you have a favorite fall scent? I’m always looking for new fragrances to try, so I’d love to hear your recommendations.

This is not a sponsored post. I’m simply sharing a favorite product that I enjoy and hope others will appreciate as well.
