3 Fresh Summer Salsas to Brighten Your BBQ

Spring feels like a pre-summer celebration of flowers and fresh flavours, so it’s the perfect moment to start making bright, refreshing dishes. These colourful salsas are full of vibrant tastes and are ideal as toppings, dips, or a fresh side for a barbecue.

Each salsa balances sweet and savoury elements, combining fruits and vegetables into lively, versatile accompaniments for nachos, bread, tacos, or simply a bowl to share. They’re a simple way to bring something different and memorable to the table.

The best part: each salsa takes under 10 minutes to prepare. Just dice the ingredients, toss them together in a bowl, and you’re done — try making all three in a single quick session.

Fruity salsas add a bright contrast to savoury dishes. If you haven’t tried one, these recipes are a great introduction — the mix of sweet fruit, fresh herbs, and a hint of acidity creates a pleasing, balanced bite. Even if you prefer savoury flavours, a touch of sweetness can be irresistible.

Give these a try and tell me which you prefer in the comments or on my instagram.

One Love,

Jason.
